Let The Kids Lunch

By Brittany Studer - Publisher of Macaroni Kid Springfield, PA September 8, 2020

Lunchtime is always so hectic in my household. Being a mom to three very busy boys, everyone always wants something different and I often become a short-order chef. This typically leads to an insane amount of random leftovers, food possibly being wasted (especially when they decide last minute that they don’t like something) and one exhausted mom.

Heading to Walmart, our trip could not have been easier. The shelves were stocked and we had numerous choices as far as Capri Sun and Lunchables went. Located in the refrigerated section by the cheese, Lunchables were my kids’ first choice when we ran in the store. My younger two sons always go for the crackers so that they can build their own sandwiches and my 7-year-old almost always grabs the DIY pizzas. I love that they can basically build their own lunches with only a little help from me! Grabbing Capri Suns was the real challenge. The amount of different flavors had my kids in awe and they had such a hard time picking! Don’t forget to check out the Walmart Website for order pickup to make everything easier on yourself! You deserve a break after all!

Taking the stress out of back-to-school lunch planning has made it a much more enjoyable process. Kraft Heinz and Walmart want to help empower kids of all ages to help make their own lunches which ultimately makes mom’s day easier and the kids more excited to eat their food!

With the help of Lunchables and Capri Sun, we are all set for back to school! This should hopefully make it super easy to take on our first year of home school. My kids feel more independent (I did it myself!) and as a parent, I can take one thing off of my to-do list for the day. My boys loved these lunches because they made it themselves and we are so excited to be able to do this more often!
